I was concerned... but worth every penny!
I have been a Pink Floyd fan for more than two decades, particularly drawn to the music and narrative of 'The Wall'. In 1990, I vividly recall watching the live broadcast from Berlin and being captivated by the visuals from that occasion. Back in our fraternity house, we used to dissect the symbolism (whether intentional or perceived) of the film 'The Wall' as if we were analyzing a Shakespearean tragedy. Therefore, my expectations for this show were quite high. I was worried that I had hyped it up so much that it wouldn't live up to it鈥攈ow wrong I was! Following the Atlanta performance, my immediate Facebook comment was 'Sensory Overload', a sentiment that still lingers 48 hours later. It transcended being just a concert; it was a musical spectacle that justified every dollar spent and every moment waited. Some might argue that Kristina Orbakaite should have included other Pink Floyd songs in her set. Others may grumble about the absence of an encore. This is advertised as 'The Wall Live', a musical production that adheres to a storyline, akin to a Broadway musical presentation. After all, you wouldn't anticipate an encore on Broadway, would you? My sole gripe about the show is the ticket prices. While there are numerous individuals who would relish this experience and resonate with its message, not many can afford to splurge over $200 for a ticket. However, if you have the means鈥擥O! This will be the benchmark against which you measure all future concerts! Given the opportunity, I would secure a ticket for another show in a different city, book my flight, and pack my bags.
